Crafter Companion Challenge 3#

Well this is my entry for the Crafters Companion Challenge 3#. I have used Joanna Sheens Giordano Puppies and Kittens cd. The papers were from the various images on the cd. I have chosen a decoupage sheet and made it smaller to fit the card. The flowers were from the embellishments on the cd. I added a greeting and some bling. The border was made by cutting and pasting one of the borders on the cd and then punched with my Martha Stewart punch. The reason the image of the pup is not as clear as the flowers is because I forgot to add the background image first time round and then found out that I had run out of my good photo paper. So it goes to show always use the best!

Digital Scrapbooking

I am liking this program. I have found a website where you can download Digital scrapbook software for free called DaisyTrail Digital Scrapbooking. I am hooked.

All I have done for the last few days is play with the programme and this is what I have produced. Nowhere near as good as the pages on the website but I am getting there.

Cuttlebug

Woohoo I am so excited!! I have just got a cuttlebug after saying I was going to get one for ages.
Well actually my husband bought it for me from Riverside Crafts in Goole.
This is my first project apart from using the embossing folder. (Maybe because this the only die I have at the moment) it is a Spellbinders Peonie. I saw Sheila Douglas do something similar and had to have a go. They are made by using the pages from an old book this one I have to say I had only just finished reading. I then used coloured ink pads to colour them. I then cut into the flowers and curled the edges of each petal. Not to bad for a first try I must say.

Riverside Crafts Craft club

Riverside Craft Club -Arty flowers
I seem to have missed out on a lot of crafting sessions at my local craft shop recently, my normal day to go is a saturday but yesterday I gate crashed another session and this is what we made. We spritzed the background then stamped the background with flowers, we made masks of the flowers first. Then cut out some stamped flowers and a butterfly and added them to the card.
Now spritzing is not a favourite of mine so I have made another card using distressing inks for the background but using the same technique for the flowers. This time I stamped the flowers with distress inks and water coloured with them. I then added a butterfly peel off and coloured it with promarkers. I am not really pleased with how the butterfly turned out but it will do this time.

Precious Moment cards

For this one I used Cuddly Buddly papers and some card candy then stuck Dad on as an after thought.

For this one the backing paper is from Kanban, the words are from my stash, I then added some punched stars with a bit of bling and made a greeting.
The other image is in the bin due to the fact that I tried to take off the card I had mounted it on to and creased the image. Serves me right for trying to be perfect!

Precious Moments

Well we have just come back from the VW festival at Harewood House what a day! Could fill this blog with all the sites and sounds of the day but I won't. Just to say was a fabulous day out, we are going to camp next year and get the full experience of the weekend. Can't wait!
Well onto my pics this little chap is a Precious moments image which is free on the web. I have coloured him with my promarkers, did print three pics and went mad and coloured all three. He is cute, watch this space to see what I decide to do with him.

Birthday card

This is a card I have made for my daughters birthday. I have used bazzill basics in lilac and turquoise and Winter wonderland papers. I have used a Martha Stewart punch on the edge of the turquoise card. The flowers were made using card candy ( I saw them on the craftwork blog there are lots of ideas) and some punched leaves. I used the crafters companion sketch. Can't enter it though as I have used an image from Pollycraft.
